At one point in history, the Mongol Empire was so vast that it stretched from Europe to the Yellow Sea. It was one of the biggest empires in history, and it was created by tribes of essentially carnivore tribesmen.
“A Mongol will eat more than 10 pounds of meat at one sitting”, wrote Weston A. Price, “but some have been known to devour an average-sized sheep in 24 hours…although he can live for days without food, yet, when once he gets it, he will eat enough for seven.”
Being nomadic tribes, the diet of Mongols consisted almost exclusively of meat and fermented dairy, allowing them to ride horses for days without eating any food and fiercely fight their enemies.
